If you’re in Auckland and wanted some catering for a birthday party or something like that, I’d be more than happy to help out. I’ll pretty much cook/bake anything.
Plus, being a poor student, I my services are priced pretty reasonably.
While every case is different, some pricing guidelines may be:
A dozen cupcakes (with icing): $30
A dozen muffins (essentially cupcakes sans icing): $24
A batch of crepes (generally around 12 large ones): $20
A large (26cm) cake with either royal or buttercream icing: $30
A medium sized (23cm) sticky date pudding: $20
Toffee sauce or chocolate ganache: $6 for ~500mL
A batch of scones (~ 10 large ones): $10
A batch of cookies (anywhere between 20 and 50): $20
Savoury things (for example, fresh pasta and pasta sauces) are also available, as are several types of bread.
If you’re looking for snacks, I do a mean homemade cream cheese and an amazing range of hummuses. And I’m pretty good at chopping up veges and opening bags of chips, so I could even arrange them all nicely on a platter for you.
And of course, I also do confectionery. Fudge and nougat are probably the best.
While I haven’t forayed into fondant yet and so can’t claim to be that good at themed cakes and cupcakes, I’d love the chance to try.
Almost all of my creations can be rendered in gluten free or lactose free versions, though, depending on the cost of ingredients, they will cost more.
